The Olympic Gene
Presented by UK Comedy direct from Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010
Becky Brunning and her great-grandfather, Welsh Olympian, William LeBeau were born exactly 100 years apart. He won a medal for gymnastics in the 1912 Stockholm Olympics; she can see* the London 2012 stadium from her bedroom window. Inspired by such fortuitous serendipity, she bravely attempts to engage her sporting heritage, examine the legacy of one of Wales' first medal winners and demonstrate just how far DNA can take you.
Witness her quest for Olympic glory; see the video diaries, and marvel at her encounters with the Great British gymnastic team as she launches her bid for London 2012. A unique and Herculean mix of physical storytelling, object puppetry, stand-up comedy and all-out gymnastic fury that celebrates the legacies we all leave, Olympic or otherwise.
*sort of. And definitely if that building in front wasn't there
