The Local Music Scene Presents: Rebel Queens

  • Bryant Lake Bowl 810 W Lake St Minneapolis United States (map)

The Local Music Scene is an improv show that uses music performed live by local musicians as inspiration for improvised, comedic scenes.

Musical Guest: Rebel Queens

Rebel Queens is a band of women influenced by the gritty soul of Led Zeppelin, the rebel spirit of Joan Jett and the electric energy of the 70s-80s rock music heyday. The band's set list offers something familiar and something new with dynamic takes on tracks by Def Leppard, Van Halen and more, blended with original music that proves rock & roll is not only surviving, but thriving with the bands and fans that carry it forward. Throughout the past decade, The Queens have played over 400 shows and events. Some extra-memorable moments include being chosen to open for guitar-shredding icon Nita Strauss, performing at Rock Fest two consecutive years, and making a Sturgis debut at the famous Full Throttle Saloon. Rebel Queens continues to feature some of the top women musicians of the Twin Cities and the band has made it their mission to pay homage to those that came before while inspiring the next generation of Rock Gods & Goddesses.

Improvisers: Sarah Arnold-Simondet, Casey Haeg, James Moore. Beth Thelen, Katie Vannelli, and your host, Philip Simondet.
