CANCELED: The Local Music Scene presents: The Mourning Wood

  • Bryant Lake Bowl 810 W Lake St Minneapolis United States (map)

Every month, The Local Music Scene invites a local musical guest to perform their original songs, and local improvisers to create improvised comedic scenes inspired by the lyrics. Produced and hosted by Philip Simondet.

Musical Guest: The Mourning Wood
The Mourning Wood is a new band that performs Horror-Folk & comedy covers. Born out of the minds of an eclectic group of outspoken nerds, the band found their name when Aiden the Kilted Wonder took a walk in the woods, saw a tree, and it made him sad.
You can expect to hear comedic folk originals, dark traditional music, and awkward covers with a strong lean towards socially aware topics.
They can be found performing at Convergence, MN Renaissance Festival, and various other venues around the Twin Cities.

Improvisers: Again & Again
Again & Again is John Eisenrich, Sam Baker Harris, and Eric Heiberg. Together, they have more than 40 years of improvising experience between them. They focus on bringing sincerity to their otherwise, ridiculous characters and scenes. But above all else, they're fun, and they like you too. Come find us.
