Celebrating the release of their first full length album, The Makeouts will be performing "Beware The Flowers" in its entirety along with some old favorites! Joining them are local bands The Sparks and Lydia. An Evening with The Makeouts invites you to celebrate local music, original songs, and the glorious space that is none other than Bryant Lake Bowl Theatre!
The Makeouts are a Minneapolis based Rock n Roll outfit led by singer/guitarist Make Keene… and probably named after him too. Whether it’s Queen Of The Damned or Spring Water from Haymaker (2019) or a song like Witchu from The Graveyard Slot (2022), the Makeouts sound is swampy, bluesy, and supernatural. After launching the band as a live act in 2022, the Makeouts released “Beware the Flowers ”, a full length album, in 2024. The songs range from being written in 2018 to a week before the album was recorded in his grandparents’ theater space in Door County, Wisconsin; an encapsulation of Make’s first five years as a songwriter.
Except its three singles, the album is not on Spotify as an act of protest to the crumbling streaming racket. The album can be found to stream or purchase on iTunes, Bandcamp, Apple, Tidal, YouTube and SoundCloud.

The Sparks are a garage rock band with twangy melodies full of snark and spark. Lydia are self professed Minneapolis boobgaze. Both handpicked by Tony Charisma Productions to complement The Makeouts' twangy tendencies and swamp rock vibes.

Tickets are $12 in Advance / $15 at the Door. Doors open at 7pm. Online ticket sales end at 6pm.
