Kenn Wanaku will perform solo, combining guitar, harmonica, and percussion simultaneously, creating a rich, layered sound that feels like a full band. His solo sets are an intimate yet high-energy experience that brings "light" into the environment, focusing on creating a positive space for the audience to connect through the rhythm. Kenn is a versatile musician and producer known for his unique fusion of African popular music with global influences. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, his work is deeply rooted in his West African heritage, specifically originating from Cameroon, and blends traditional African and indigenous sounds with contemporary genres. Drawing on his background in film production (having won an award at the Cannes Film Festival for the 1992 film Quartier Mozart), he brings a cinematic and storytelling quality to the show. Releases: His discography includes early albums such as Save Africa (2000) and Afrikanguitarstrophy (2006). More recently, he released tracks like "We Go Be Free - Remix" (2026) and "Bey Samo'" (2025).
Other Country Ensemble (OCE) features veteran musicians from the Twin Cities, performing traditional music from the northern Mediterranean region ranging from Spanish Sephardic to Greek and Turkish music, and original compositions inspired by the regions. They weave tales of the history of the music from 711 A.D on and the fusion of sounds that spread through the Mediterranean, as well as the instruments they perform.
