"From the Mediterranean to the Ganges: A Global Sonic Tapestry."

Join us for an evening that transcends borders, connecting 200-year-old folk traditions with the future of global sound. This double-feature performance brings together world-class Twin Cities artists to weave a rich narrative of history, migration, and melody.

Ritika & Shinjan: Conversations in Bangla

St. Paul-based composer and anthropologist Ritika Ganguly joins multi-instrumentalist Shinjan Sengupta for a genre-bending exploration of Bengali music. Fresh off their acclaimed folk opera premiere at the MN Opera, this duo draws listeners into "familiar, future, and faraway worlds." Their set connects the everyday with ancient songs and poems from pre- and post-partition India and Bangladesh, creating a vocabulary for South Asian folk music right here in the Twin Cities.

OCE: Sounds of the Northern Mediterranean

The evening continues with OCE, a group of veteran musicians dedicated to the traditional music of the northern Mediterranean. From Spanish Sephardic melodies to Greek and Turkish traditions, OCE traces the fusion of sounds dating back to 711 A.D. Through original compositions and historical tales, they bring to life the instruments and cultures that have shaped the Mediterranean for over a millennium.

Our full restaurant and bar service is available in the theater! Order from your seat and enjoy the show, we'll take care of the rest.

We recommend arriving early to grab a drink and find your spot; please keep in mind that we stop seating 30 minutes after the show starts.
