Dream Chambers Public Access' Nomadic Screenings are quarterly series of alternative film programmes centered around the expansion of Black and Indigenous experimental film. Ticket proceeds go to helping keep our educational programs affordable and paying our teaching artists.
This season we will be screening Sugar Hill (1974) Dir. Paul Maslansky and starring Marki Bey, Don Pedro Colley, and Zara Cully.
Synopsis:
When her boyfriend is murdered by mobsters, Sugar Hill decides not to get mad, but BAD. She asks the voodoo priestess Mama Maitresse to summon Baron Samedi, the Lord of the Dead, to help her gain a gruesome revenge. The bad guys who think they got away clean are about to find out that they are DEAD wrong!
Tickets are $10. Doors open at 6:30pm. Online ticket sales end at 5pm.
